OUTDOOR NEWBORN SESSIONS IN DELHI New York | UPSTATE NEW YORK NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER
As we are currently in stage four of re-opening here in the Mohawk Valley, and with COVID restrictions in place for the foreseeable future, holding a newborn session outside instead of in your home is becoming the new norm. At first I was hesitant because I adore capturing you in your home, where your beautiful everyday memories are made. However, I’m happy to admit that I’m in LOVE with outdoor newborn sessions now!
Breathe of Fresh Air One of the best things about having a newborn baby in the warm months right now is that we are able to be outside! Many of my in-home sessions are during winter months. So it is literally a breathe of fresh air for all of us. Babies also tend to be content and calm among nature, just like us parents. You’ve been spending a lot of time indoors recuperating, adjusting and endless feedings. Getting outside will feel amazing.
That golden light Although all I need is a good window to photograph you in your home, and I will move you and baby around your home finding the best light, there’s nothing like being in the golden light of the setting sun. It certainly adds a magical glow and feel to your images. It will also showcase the season your little love was born in.
The little details Even though we’re not in your intimate home, I can still get those little details you want to remember! Little toes, baby yawns, calm slumber. The session is even shorter because we’re not trying to get a variety of rooms in your home, stopping for changes and feedings (although if baby is hungry of course we will pause our session-or I’ll shoot right through if you’re comfortable).
Extended Family Another wonderful thing about shooting outdoors is you can include extended family, or even your best friend. Remembering the special time when they met your little one is worth capturing too. If we were inside, it would be really hard to capture everyone. Being outdoors lets me step back further and get everyone in the frame.
