Abby & Cam’s whimsical Lakeside Wedding day at The Rosemary at Spano Lake began with the bride and groom preparing separately, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Excitement filled the air as final touches were made—the bride stepping into her dress, the groom adjusting his tie, and loved ones sharing heartfelt words of encouragement.

Getting Ready

The unique bridal suite at the Rosemary allows for the bride and groom to simultaneously get ready, in a beautiful and comfortable space, and right next to each other without seeing each other!

First Look

Once they were both ready, my second photographer and I found the perfect spot for their first look. I always love finding the best lighting and location that allows for a seamless first look. The Rosemary at Spano Lake has many picturesque spots, but the lush trees and blooms along the path Abby went down leading to Cam, set up a romantic vibe to exchange their private vows. We all had tears in our eyes by the end! It led beautifully into a few couple portraits after their vows.

Ceremony

Next up was the beautiful lakeside ceremony. There is truly no other spot more perfect for a mid summer ceremony than by the serene lake at the Rosemary. The calming water puts everyone’s nerves at ease. Bright flowers enhance it’s natural beauty, and is a relaxful spot to say I do.

A unique part to their ceremony was including a colorful ribbon wrapping where they literally tied the knot!   Their officiant, the groom’s mom, ( how special is that!) wrapped their hands symbolizing their commitment and love for each other. 

The late afternoon sun by the lake illuminated their love, exchange of rings, and first kiss as husband and wife.

When the ceremony is done you get to walk back up the short path as husband and wife, and easily gather with your wedding party to celebrate with hugs.

Bridal Party Photos & Reception

The close proximity to open fields and shaded trees gives to the perfect backdrop for bridal and family photos, while your guests are close by for cocktail hour. The light and whimsical flowers and table settings complimented the lush lakeside views. 

Abby & Cam snuck away for a private dinner in the beautiful and cool bridal suite, so they could mingle and be present with guests during the reception more. That’s what is so unique about The Rosemary at Spano Lake; it allows for you to orchestrate the day however you want, with so many options close to you.

The permanent and beautiful tent with a hardwood floor is the perfect spot to get the party started.

First Dance

Their beautiful first dance together, was followed by tearful speeches. Their guests making a heart with their hands stood out to me and I’m so glad I was able to capture it. Love was certainly felt around the room.

Golden Hour Couple Portraits

I always try and take my couples out during golden hour for a few more portraits, as it gives them space to breathe, often not realizing how much they needed a little break from being the center of attention and mingling. The Rosemary at Spano Lake offers a unique perspective; you can take their canoe out and literally soak in the party you’ve planned for months and months! It’s a view that won’t disappoint, and a memorable part of your day.

Partying it up

The dance floor was busy the whole night, and the best part about the secluded nature of The Rosemary at Spano Lake is you can party until 11pm!
