I am excited and happy to announce that I am planning to re-open outdoor family and maternity sessions the week of June 1st! I will be implementing some new things, but a lot of what I already do as the photographer, and what my families do for sessions, will remain the same. There are still a lot of unknowns, and of course if orders are changed at all, my open date will be pushed back. But through all of this craziness, I am certain more than anything, that phots of you and your loved ones are important! We still all want to preserve our joy, chaos, and love, and I can do that safely by shooting with socially distancing practices in place.

Here are a few ways sessions will happen moving forward.

Preparing for Sessions: Prior to our session (and after each session) I will wipe my equipment down with alcohol rubs. I will hand sanitize before getting out of the car, and I will wear a mask during our session. You of course will not need to wear a mask as we want to see those beautiful smiles and interactions!

I will also ask that if you or your children have even a runny nose, that we reschedule. Usually colds don’t keep sessions from happening, but there’s just too many unknowns right now. I will do the same and stay home if myself or a family member is presenting any sick-like symptoms. Rescheduling will not be penalized in anyway.

During Sessions: Sessions will still feel exactly the same! I will be after the connections, love and beauty that is your family all while you spend quality time together. I will be doing this from a distance, and the good thing is I am used to shooting from a distance! I already use my 85mm lens during outdoor family sessions. In order to get all of you in the frame, I have to be a far distance back, so this will not change. I will just use this lens a lot more during our time together to ensure I am 6ft away. I will also incorporate more environmental images like the top left one. Additionally, I do a lot of directing to get you all interacting and loving on one another as I shoot (that will not change!) What will change is how I go about it. Usually I am hands on and not afraid to move an arm or help guide a head, but I will be SOLEY directing from a far! I may have to raise my voice a little haha.Locations Carefully Chosen: The majority of my family sessions are outdoors already and I always try to find space away from others to limit distractions and have the focus on you. However, if you are hesitant to go to a local park or spot, a good option you may want to choose is to shoot at home. Documenting your family on your own property will be meaningful and of course not crowded. Hanging prints inside your home of your loved ones on your own space will be more special too!Easy Online Process: A part from our session together, everything from booking to delivery of your gallery is completed safely and smoothly online. Once you reserve your session date and time here, I will email you links to sign contract, complete client questionnaire, and even assist with outfits with my complimentary virtual styler! After your session you will receive an additional email with a link to your personal gallery for easy viewing, downloading, and simple ordering of prints and products.

Limited Number of Sessions: As a precaution and to limit the amount of clients I see, I will only be taking one family session per day. Therefore, I encourage you to book a session sooner than later. These are uncertain times, but by implementing the above steps, I aim to keep your family’s safety my top priority while capturing your joy, connection and love.                                     What about Newborns: Although I primarily shoot newborn sessions indoors and at your own home, doesn’t mean newborn sessions can’t still happen! We can still create beautiful, connected images among nature! The setting isn’t what’s important; it’s the people and connection in front of my lens that is.
